The Army’s 11th Infantry Division and police operatives conducted a law-enforcement operation in Metro Jolo over the weekend which resulted in the capture of personalities included in the drug watchlist and undocumented motorcycles and smuggled items worth P2.2 million.
Joint elements of the 11th ID and the Sulu Provincial Police Office (PPO) carried out a law-enforcement operation that resulted in the apprehension of Almujir Hajan and Judimar Adaarabasa of Brgy. San Raymundo Jolo, Sulu who yielded two sachets of shabu.
Also recovered during the said operations in the house of a certain Mr. Dimir Alih are smuggled products including three undocumented motorcycles, assorted parts for caliber .45 pistols, and 38 boxes of assorted smuggled cigarettes worth P2.2 million.
The apprehended drug personalities, smuggler, and smuggled products were brought to Sulu-PPO for the filing of appropriate charges and proper disposition.
Brig. Gen. Divino Rey Pabayo Jr., commander of the 11th ID, said the AFP is making sure that their presence in Sulu is felt by the local populace.
“Our involvement in law-enforcement operations with the Sulu PPO is just one of our mandates to ensure the safety and order of the Tausug community,” Pabayo said.
“I urge the public to actively participate not just in our campaign against terrorism but also against criminality,” he added.
