DAVAO CITY – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has urged all government and private health providers to accredit their facilities in preparation for the full implementation of primary health care benefits under the Universal Health Care Law (UHC).

PhilHealth President Roy Ferrer said his agency will now be covering the check-ups of all its members as the law stipulated to strengthen the government’s primary health program.

“I am calling on health care providers to accredit your facilities, be it public or private facilities to avail this extended primary care benefit package so that, we can serve the people,” he said.

Ferrer said the all health care providers will have a crucial role in serving all PhilHealth members in giving them the primary health care services such check-ups and laboratory tests.
