Netizens posted photos of passengers waiting in-line in several stations such as in Boni Avenue, Araneta-Cubao, and Quezon Avenue.
In a text message sent by the MRT-3 Management to The Manila Bulletin, it said a defective train had to be removed from the mainline at 7:47am due to electrical failure.
This occurred between the Quezon Avenue and North Avenue stations.
But management clarified that there was no unloading incident.
Normal train operations resumed at 7:50am.
