3 suspected drug pushers killed

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan--Three drug pushers were killed while 19 others were arrested by Bulacan police.

police line123 Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan police chief, identified the slain suspects as Joel Andong and his brother Jonathan, both on the Drug Watch list of San Jose Del Monte City police, and an alias "Barog."

They were slain during a drug bust conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of City of San Jose del Monte Police in Barangay Sto. Cristo, Carissa 1A, Monday.

The Andong brothers and Barog fired at the arresting officers, prompted them to fire back.

Recovered from the suspects were nine sachets of suspected shabu, a Smith and Wesson cal.38 revolver without serial number and two improvised shotguns (sumpak).

In other different drug bust in Meycauayan, Guiguinto, Marilao, and Bulakan, 19 other drug suspects, including a 16-year-old female out-of-school youth, were arrested.

Some of them are in the drug watch list of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) list in the cities of Malolos and Meycauayan, and the towns of Angat, Bocaue, Bulakan and Marilao.
