Woman jail visitor held over packs of shabu

LIPA CITY, Batangas—a 40-year-old woman, who was about to visit her live-in-partner, was held by the local police here after she caught with several sachets of suspected shabu inside her bag Monday night.

Sr. Insp. Nestor Balita, information officer of the Lipa City Police said police accosted Michelle Natividad at around 7 p.m. just as she was to enter the detention center to visit her partner Ronel Plata.

Plata is in jail for illegal gambling.

According to Balita, the police officer on-duty found a tape-sealed cigarette pack inside Natividad’s bag, which was packed with clothes.

Upon further inspection, the guard found 14 sachets of shabu concealed inside the cigarette pack.

Natividad was immediately placed under police custody.
