This, despite the call made by some officials and groups of people asking her to run as president in 2022.

Duterte said she just told people in Santiago City, Isabela during a campaign sortie for the 13 senatorial bets in her political party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, that she will decide her fate in politics in 2021 because they were “very insistent to hear an answer” about her plans.

"If I say yes, and if I say no, it will swing both ways and I might eat my words. That is why I do not want that to happen again," she said.

The mayor also bared that she has had many opportunities to run for a national position since 2013, but it never came mind since she had no plans for it.

"My commitment to President Duterte before he ran is to make sure that matarong gihapon ang Davao City, maayos and Davao City and makita sa mga tao ang ginaingon niya nga pagbabago o positive change (Davao City will be still orderly and the people will see what he called positive change),"she said.

Duterte said she wanted to finish her three terms, and complete all the big projects that started under her term.

"For my first-three years, some of the big projects are still unfinished so I will continue that in coming three years and then we add another projects," she said.

The presidential daughter also denied the allegations that her involvement in the HNP campaign sorties was part of preparations for her run for the presidency in 2022.

She said he HNP intends to strengthen Region 11 since it will be easy to discuss solutions to address social and peace and order issues if the local government units are united.

"In terms of politics, the party also intends to get block voting so that the national government and elected officials will listen to the region," she said.

Duterte said the focus of the party was to campaign for its senatoriables, who supported her father in the 2016 presidential elections.
