Senior Supt. Ariel Fulo promised to continue the campaign against illegal drugs following his assumption as new chief of the San Juan City police Monday.
Fulo took over from Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes who was transferred to the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division of the National Capital Region Police Office as acting chief.
“I promise to continue and sustain the projects and programs of my predecessor, Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes, especially the campaign against illegal drugs,” Fulo said during the ceremony.
On Dec. 6, 2018, police operatives raided a clandestine shabu laboratory in North Greenhills, San Juan City seizing materials that could produce at least P600 million worth of illegal drugs every month.
The shabu lab is believed to be the source of the illegal drugs being sold in Metro Manila and its nearby cities.
Before his new appointment, Fulo, 55, was assigned at the Center for Police Strategy and Management Unit in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Fulo also served as the assistant chief of Malabon City Police.
Eastern Police District Chief Supt. Bernabe Balba presided over the change of command ceremony at the San Juan City police headquarters.
San Juan City Mayor, Guia Gomez and Vice Mayor Janella Estrada congratulated Fulo for his new assignment.
