Over P18 million was won by a lone Lotto 6/42 bettor from Negros Occidental, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said on Friday.
The winning combination of Lotto 6/42 during Thursday night’s draw (February 7) was 14-23-18-27-07-40.
According to the agency, it has a total jackpot prize of P18, 836, 826. 00.
It was purchased at a Lotto outlet in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, PCSO disclosed.
Since the jackpot prize will be subjected to 20 percent tax in accordance with the TRAIN law, the lucky bettor will take home a sum of P15, 069, 460. 80.
The government will get a total of P3, 767, 365. 20.
Just last Monday night, (February 4), two bettors from Las Piñas, and Laguna shared the Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot, which has a total of P13, 301, 011.
To claim the prize, the lucky bettor must go to PCSO’s head office in Mandaluyong City to claim his/her cheque. PCSO said the winner should present two IDs.
PCSO expressed gratitude to people who keep on patronizing their products, saying many Filipinos in dire need of medical assistance are being helped by the agency through their continuous patronage of their games.
A large chunk of PCSO’s revenue goes to charity.
