According to a report by ABS-CBN, the Barangay Upper Rock Quarry issued an ordinance which prohibits people from spreading gossip or defaming others.

Arci Cudlong, social services committee head of the barangay, said spreading rumors is the cause of misunderstanding and quarrels in the neighbourhood.

Violators will be fined from P300 to P1,000 per violation starting Feb. 16.

Meanwhile, public display or hanging of undergarments will be banned in Barangay Holy Ghost Proper due to its “unsightly” view.

Barangay officials are concerned on the image it may give to visitors about public drying of undergarments since Baguio is a major tourist destination.

Barangay councilor Eugene Yocogan said that their village is near a central business district and many tourists flock the area.

Offenders will pay the fine of P300 every time a fine garment is seen hanging out or spread out across the porch.
