Jerico Mendoza, an alleged carnapping suspect, was captured by the joint elements of Manila Police District’s (MPD) District Intelligence Division, Police Intelligence Operation Unit, and Special Operation Unit along Buenos Aires in Sampaloc at about 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 18.

Items such as two cellphones with charger, personal ID cards, Sym motorcycle, wallet with P220, and three sealed packages from an online store were seized from Mendoza.

On Aug. 30 last year, Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 42 Judge Dinnah Aguila Topacio issued the warrant of arrest against Mendoza for violating Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Law with a fixed bail of P300,000.
