Why CES Matters


For more than 50 years since its first inception in 1967, Consumer Electronic Show or more popularly known as simply CES, has been in the forefront and venue for innovators and entrepreneurs who thrive in the business of consumer technologies.

CES is owned by the Consumer Technology Association, showcasing more than 4,500 exhibiting companies with more than 250 conference sessions and more than 180,000 in attendance from 150 countries.

CES is a big playground for tech giants and next-generation innovators  exhibiting products under different categories and marketplace such as: 3D Printing, Advertising, AR/VR and Gaming, Audio and Video, Baby Tech, Digital Money, Drones, Enterprise Solutions, CES Sports Zone, Family and Kids Tech, Home Cinema, Self-Driving Technology, Smart Home, Tourism, Wearables, Wireless Device and Services, Smartphones, and a lot more.

The first CES took place in New York City in June 1967. Since then, a multitude of technology milestones has been recorded, including many that have transformed every people's lives.

This year, CES 2019 is staged at the World Trade Center in Las Vegas and Manila Bulletin TechNews team joined this annual event to represent in the CES Journalist Scholarship Program (January 8-11) and to walk you through in the latest in technology. Users can do yoga, run or do other physical activities while extracting that precious milk. It mimics the mouth of an infant thus allows user to pump in any position.

Getting lost is one a bit of a problem especially if you're in a foreign place. Be still because the Lynq Tracker will help you find your direction in a matter of seconds. The Lynq is a real-time distance and direction tracker that keeps user connected even without mobile signal. The maximum range to find the location is about five kilometers. This is ideal for family members who need to know the location of each other. It shows an arrow and the distance of each user.

Robosen T9S

Next on the list is the Robosen T9S transforming robot that is made of aerospace grade alloy and is equipped with more than 3000 modules and 22 self-deployed high precision servo motors. It is compatible with Alexa, with HD camera and supported by a visual recognition technology.

E-vone Smart Shoe

If you're having a problem with balancing movement or you have a senior citizen living with you, the E-vone smart shoe might come in handy.

E-vone is a smart shoe that features fall detection and is designed for seniors, workers, and travelers. It uses sensors in the sole to detect falling or sudden abnormal movements. It would automatically send alert messages to your pre-programmed emegency contact.

FoldiMate

Foldimate is a robotic folding machine that helps in folding laundry clothes.

According to the manual, "users simply feed each item into the FoldiMate machine and it neatly fold shirts, tops, blouses, pants, (six-years old up to XXL), and even medium-sized towels."

DFree Wearable

DFree is the first wearable for incontinence. This is for people who suffer from loss of bladder control. It uses ultrasound to continuously monitor the user's bladder as it expands and contracts. Notification is then sent to the user's phone when the bladder is almost full indicating that it is time to go to the bathroom.

DOBOT Magician

Sounds like magical things will happen when you operate and use this multifunctional desktop robotic arm. DOBOT Magician is basically a tool for practical training education. Installed with different end-tools, DOBOT Magician can realize interesting functions such as 3D printing, laser engraving, writing and drawing. It supports secondary development by 13 extensible interfaces and over 20 programming languages, which really makes your creativity and imagination increase without any limitation.

Visitors at CES 2019 have a fun experience seeing DOBOT Magician and the effective color-mixing 3D printer MOOZ-3 at DOBOT BOOTH South Hall 2, inside the Las Vegas Convention Center.
