Estrada particularly instructed City Administrator Ericson Alcovendaz to focus on Manila Zoo after Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu called out the animal park’s management for lack of sewage treatment plant (STP).

The local chief executive also tasked Alcovendaz to inventory city-owned properties without STPs so their connection will be worked out as soon as possible before the restoration of Manila Bay starts.

He also said that next target will be the commercial establishments.

“We are first making local government properties adhere to environmental laws before we go to commercial establishments,” Estrada said.

“They have to see that the government is the first to follow the law,” he added.
