CEBU CITY – Sinulog kicks off with various activities tomorrow, January 11, simultaneous with the launching of a more advanced and friendlier Sinulog 2019 mobile app.
Sinulog Foundation Executive Committee chair and City Councilor Dave Tumulak said the public can get updates of Sinulog activities, schedules, and other information by downloading the app.

Tumulak said he is looking forward to new features like getting rewards for posting photos of Sinulog moments and the opportunity of users to vote, not only of the favorite festival queen but also their favorite contingent.
The vote for the favorite contingent will be loaded in the app server on the evening of Jan. 20 when the cellphone signal is restored, while the awarding of the favorite contingent will be on Jan. 21, Tumulak said.
Tumulak told media that the organizers expect millions of devotees and revelers to fill downtown and uptown Cebu City for the procession on Jan. 19 and the grand parade on Jan. 20.
The app was created because Mayor Tomas Osmena has been pushing for ways to reach out to the youth, particularly the millennials.
