BUTUAN CITY – The Center for Health Development (CHD) of the Department of Health (DOH – Caraga Region 13) has recorded only three firecracker-related Injuries (FRI) during its ‘Aksyon Paputok’ Injury Reduction (APIR) Campaign last December 21, 2018 to January 5 of this year.

The number of FRI went down by 76.92 percent compared to the 13 cases recorded last December 21, 2017-January 5, 2018, the regional office of the DOH 13 here reported Wednesday.

“We believe that our campaign has reached our people well. It was re-echoed by our LGUs in an effort to minimize if not put a stop to the fireworks-related injuries in our region,” said DOH 13 Regional Director Dr. Jose R. Llacuna, jr., in a statement released on Wednesday.
