ASUS doubles CES 2019 excitement with two new ZenBooks

Amplifying the excitement at CES 2019, ASUS recently introduced two new ZenBooks – the ZenBook S13 (UX392) and the ZenBook 14 (UX431). As expected, these ultrathin laptops stay true to the gorgeous look of the ZenBook line, brandishing an aluminum exterior.

The S13 sports a NanoEdge display with a 97% screen-to-body ratio, giving us really slim bezels for a laptop. Beating within is the latest 8th Gen Intel Core quad-core processor (i5 or i7), coupled with up to 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe x4 SSD, and a battery life of up to 15 hours. The S13’s large touchpad comes with a fingerprint sensor to simplify logging in using Windows Hello. There are three USB ports, two of which are USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C.

Meanwhile, the ZenBook 14 also comes with an 8th Gen Intel Core processor, partnered with an NVIDIA GeForce MX150, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. It’s a great-looking laptop with a special hinge that lifts the entire device as you open the screen. This allows better airflow to keep the ZenBook cooled.  The ZenBook 14 also hosts a numpad within its touchpad. This feature can be turned on and off, and switched between navigation and calculation functions.

The edges of the ZenBook 14’s keyboard feature two upward facing speakers, promising to deliver solid bass with Harman Kardon-certified smart amplifiers, which are cool too if you’re not into using headphones too much. The ZenBook 14 also features one USB 2.0 Type A port, plus a USB 3.1 Type A and C.

We’d be eager to review these devices when they become available soon.
