LEMERY, Batangas— Two persons died while 13 others including a 3-month-old baby sustained injuries after an Isuzu vehicle fell into a 12-meter deep ravine while on the way to Fantasy World Amusement Park here, Tuesday morning.

A report from Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) identified the fatalities as Mel Jansen Aspi, 30, and Victoria Bermoy, 57.
Passengers injured were Jubelyn Villanueva, 33; Juvhern Villanueva, 8; Jhelyra Villanueva, 5; Helen Megan Aldos, 29; Tom Bermoy, 63; Carlisle Severus Aspi, 4; Tom Daniel Bermoy, 3 months old; Natividad Agualada, 61; April Aspi, 32; Baby Jean Casuno, 14; Ariane Aldos, 28; at Manel Casuno, 22.
The driver of Isuzu Jitney with plate ADN-7022 identified as Hernando Villanueva was also injured.
The injured victims were taken to the Metro Lemery Medical Center and Batangas Provincial Hospital in  this town.
Police Officer 2 Camilo Manguiat, investigator, said  the victims, who were all from  Queens Row, Barangay Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite, were heading to the amusement park in Barangay Mayasang, Lemery.
He said upon reaching a steep part of the private road at around 11:45 a.m., the vehicle had engine trouble then suddenly  moved backward, with the driver losing control of the vehicle, which then fell into the  ravine.
