President Duterte is set to visit the wake of slain partylist lawmaker Rodel Batocabe Wednesday afternoon, a source privy to the President’s schedule said.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo also confirmed that Duterte will be visiting of Batocabe in Daraga, Albay.
Malacañang earlier slammed the killing of Ako-Bicol partylist representative Batocabe and assured that no stone will be left unturned in the investigation of the case.
In a radio interview, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said the government will not rest until the Philippine National Police (PNP) are able to place Batocabe’s killers behind bars.
“Rest assured that the full hand of the law and the government will be behind still and this will be investigated by the Philippine National Police,” Andanar said in an interview over Super Radyo DZBB.
Batocabe, along with his security detail, was fatally shot during a gift-giving activity in Daraga, Albay over the weekend.
