Three patrolling policewomen assisted a woman who gave birth to a baby boy on a street in Makati City on Christmas Day.
Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, only identified the woman as 22-year-old “Divine,” a resident of Mandaluyong City.
The cops who assisted her were PO1 Eva Geeline Evardo, PO1 Fatima Manalo, and PO1 Mary Grace Lanaja.
At 3:30 p.m., they spotted Divine lying on the ground as her water already broke on P. Burgos Street in Barangay Poblacion, Makati.
They immediately called for an ambulance, but Divine can no longer wait for it so she pushed and gave birth on the street.
Evardo, according to Simon, was on hands in helping Divine give birth.
Minutes after, the ambulance arrived and brought the mother and child to Ospital ng Makati.
