Notable rappers, artists featured in animated Spider-Man film

The web-slinging superhero is back on the big screen. But this time around, he is in another dimension.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” which premiered last December 12 in the Philippines, gave comic geeks a unique style of animation, motion graphics, and visual pleasure.

To top that, renowned artists and rappers were part of the 13-track album.

Last October 19, singer-rapper Post Malone reunited with Swae Lee for the soundtrack’s first single titled “Sunflower.”

In two months, the single zoomed to rank nine at the Billboard Hot 100.

The two first collaborated with Malone’s song “Spoil My Night” from his second album “beerbongs & bentleys.”

Other artists featured were Lil Wayne, Vince Staples, Juice WRLD, Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, Ski Mask, the Slump God, Denzel Curry, and Jaden Smith.

Set in an alternate universe, Miles Morales, a teenager who lives in Brooklyn, is about to face his new fate when he discovered that there are other “Spideys” out there.

The Marvel original was produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation.
