DAVAO CITY – A rape suspect was killed by a policewoman after he allegedly attempted to grab her service firearm as she was trying to get his biometric information on Wednesday morning.
The San Pedro Police Station identified the slain suspect as Eduardo S. Cecondes, who was facing charges for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in Barangay 76-A, Bucana.
A report said a policewoman was taking Cecondes’ fingerprints at the police station at around 10 a.m., when the suspect suddenly grabbed her pistol, prompting another policewoman to shoot the suspect. Ceconders was hit in the chest and was declared dead-on-arrival at the hospital.
