Saving turtles in Bataan

MORONG, Bataan – Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio lauded Bataan for its sustained efforts to protect sea turtles and preserve their natural habitat.

In her message during the recent Pawikan Festival, she commended Governor Abet Garcia for the initiatives and projects that promote and preserve the environment.

She also urged Bataeños to keep on protecting marine turtles and make sure the sea creatures will continue to reproduce.

Duterte-Carpio and Garcia released about 80 marine turtle hatchlings together with other officials during the festival.

Activities in the whole day event include walk for a cause, trade fair, visual exhibit, creative forum, and environment fair.
