Fans of the blockbuster animation movie The Lion King will soon see a live-action version of the much-loved film.
This, after Disney recently released its first teaser trailer of the upcoming live-action version of Simba’s rise to power as the king of the jungle.
Moviegoers will certainly feel nostalgic with the new film from Disney, but this time around they will actually get to see the characters’ live-action counterparts and be transported to the jungle that served as the backdrop for the hit movie.
Staying true to the movie that made us appreciate the “circle of life,” James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa, while Simba, will be played by Donald Glover and Beyonce will be the voice behind Nala.
Directed by Jon Favreau, who also called the shots for the live-action version of The Jungle Book in 2016, the movie also has Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Alfre Woodard as Simba’s mother Sarabi, John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
