The candidate soldier “SIDLAK” class 544-2018 took their oath of volunteerism and willingness to risk personal comfort and security to serve and protect the country and the people at a ceremony held at the 6th Division Training School in Brgy. Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanaoon November 18.

The 284 new soldiers included six aspirants from the Army's 4th Infantry Division that took their oath on June 10, 2018, one aspirant from 54th Engineering Brigade, and 277 from the Army's 6th Infantry Division.
The class name “SIDLAK” stands for “SundalongItinakdangDadamay at LalabanAlang-alangsaKapayapaan” and serves as a basis of their class strong camaraderie and compassion.
The graduates underwent rigorous trainings and engagedin different activities including Basic Military Training and War Fighting Competency to enhance their skills for future missions.
Candidate Soldier ArgylNena received the special award for obtaining the highest rating in the Basic Marksmanship with a general average of 100 percent.
On the other hand, candidate Soldier Jessel John Porras received the leadership award for demonstrating an outstanding attitude, military knowledge, and exemplary military bearing in the class while Candidate Soldier AlipioDuallo obtained the highest rating in the Physical Fitness Test.
Likewise, the following Candidate Soldiers received the certificate of merit: CS AlipioDuallo for graduating number 3 with a general average of 94.10 percent; CS Regine Mae S. Viajar for graduating number 2 with a general average of 94.25 percent; and CS Edgar S. Cardoza Jr. for graduating number 1 with a general average of 94.46 percent.
The commander of 6th Infantry "Kampilan" Division, Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana,congratulated the new soldiers for finishing their purposive training that taught them to survive the challenges ahead of their military careers.
As keynote speaker, Sobejana urged the graduates to instill discipline and respect for authority all throughout their military life as these are essentially important in the life of a soldier,.
“Soldiery is the noble profession for we have no capital except our lives," Sobejana said.
