The Commission on Elections has allocated more than P35 million for the printing of the nearly one million primers or handouts for the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) ahead of the January 21 plebiscite.

Based on its invitation to bid, the Comelec said the total approved budget for the contract (ABC) is P35,900,640 for the 997,240 pieces of BOL primer/handouts.

“Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening,” said the Comelec – bids and awards committee (BAC).

Interested bidders may acquire a copy of the bidding documents from the BAC Secretariat Office at the Comelec main office in Intramuros, Manila until December 10 upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of P25,000.

The pre-bid conference, on the other hand, for all prospective bidders has been set on November 26 at 2 p.m. at the FEMII Building in Intramuros, Manila.

The submission of bids is set on December 10 at 9 a.m. at the BAC Secretariat Office.

Opening of bids will also be held on the same day at 10 a.m. at the FEMII Building.

The Comelec earlier set the campaign period for the Bangsamoro plebiscite from December 7 to January 19.
