The Sandiganbayan First Division has allowed former senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. to visit his sick father, Ramon Revilla Sr., since he has been confined at St. Luke's Medical City in Bonifacio Global City.

In his compliance and motion, Revilla said his father is being treated for Aspiration Pneumonia. He wishes to be by his side on Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m.

This was not the first time Revilla sought the Sandiganbayan's permission to be with his father, who has gone in and out of the hospital due to different health concerns.

In March 2017, the elder Revilla suffered from pneumonia and occult gastro-intestinal bleeding, and therefore had to undergo gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Prior to that, Revilla's father underwent "transarterial aortic valve replacement."

Revilla, who is facing graft and plunder charges in connection with the misuse of his priority development assistance fund (PDAF) disbursements, is currently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The anti-graft court is slated to promulgate his plunder case on December 7.
