LIPA CITY, Batangas – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Batangas provincial office, in partnership with Southern Twin Supermart’s 5th Suki Convention and Lipa City government opened on the Friday the Diskwento Caravan at Lipa City Cultural Center.
DTI-Batangas Consumer Protection Division Chief Noli Manalo said consumers may avail of 10-34 percent discount on basic commodities and other grocery items.
The 2- day caravan is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist Milagros Mercado assured that the available items are in good condition.
DTI-Batangas has partnered with local supermarkets to make basic commodities available at lower prices, especially during the Christmas season and during calamities.
Elsie Tario, 51, said her family is taking advantage during of the discounts offered by the caravan.
Senior citizen Millet Nasca said she bought grocery items in bulk for her retail store.
