TACLOBAN City – Dozens of families and student boarders were left homeless after a fire broke out and razed five houses, including a dance studio, on Tuesday, November 13, in Barangay 46, Juan Luna St. here.

According to fire investigator SFO3 Alex Duran, the fire started from a dance studio due to wet faulty wiring drenched by rain.

“We are still determining the total amount of damaged properties. Fortunately no one was hurt during the incident,” he shared.

Kaye Santos, the manager of the dance studio said they were awaken by the smell of burning plastic.

“We tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but we failed,” she said.
