Based on official count, the music video for EXO’s “Tempo,” uploaded on Nov. 2, garnered 16.1 million views in the first 24 hours, a YouTube spokesperson said on Nov. 5.

“Tempo” is the carrier single of EXO’s latest album “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” and it is recorded in Korean and Chinese.

The album had recorded 1.1 million copies in pre-orders, reached No. 1 on iTunes in 47 countries and regions including the Philippines, and topped weekly charts in South Korea.

Before the new album was released, EXO’s cumulative album sales totaled 8.9 million copies including four studio albums, two mini albums and four winter special albums.
