Information and Advocacy Specialist Joy M. Montecalvo of the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development (DA-PRDP) said the completed FMR will directly benefit the 713 households in barangays Mapurog (Migsale), Montol, Kanaokanao and Buenavista, all of Bonifacio town, Misamis Occidental province.

The 4.96-kilometer FMR will also benefit farmers in the said areas. Montecalvo said this FMR will also surely support the town’s champion commodities such as coconut, cassava, banana cardava, high-value crops, coffee, and corn. Locals especially farmers can now travel a shorter time with well-paved road, he added.
