Manila road closure, rerouting for 2018 bar exams

With the four-Sunday 2018 bar examinations set to start on Sunday, November 4, at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), motorists are advised to take alternate routes as several roads and thoroughfares in Manila headed towards UST are to be closed.

The Manila Police District traffic enforcement unit (DTEU) said the westbound lane of España Boulevard from A. H. Lacson Avenue to P. Noval Street will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 4, 11,18, 25.

The traffic unit stated that all southbound vehicles of A. H. Lacson Ave. shall go straight to Nagtahan to their point of destination while vehicles along the westbound lane of Espana Blvd. shall turn right at A.H. Lacson, left to Laong-Laan to A. Mendoza to point of destination.

Parking will be strictly prohibited on the streets along España Blvd., A.H. Lacson Ave., Dapitan Street and P. Noval Street.

Around 8, 701 law graduates are set to take the bar examinations this year.

The examinations are administered yearly by the Supreme Court (SC) through its bar examinations committee headed this year by Justice Mariano C. del Castillo.

The bar exams will cover eight subjects: Political Law, Civil Law, Taxation, Labor Law, Criminal Law, Remedial Law, Mercantile Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics.
