A 60-year-old man was killed by his owncarabao that suddenly went berserk at a farm in Barangay Quezon, Naguilian, Isabela last Friday.
A report reaching the Isabela Police Provincial Office (PPO) said the incident happened at 10 a.m. while farmer Domingo Cabaccan, married, was tending to cornfield.
It said Cabaccan led the carabao near the Pugo River when, for no apparent reason, the animal acted wild.
While the farmer was trying to tame it, the carabao suddenly gored Cabaccan in the abdomen, resulting in his immediate death.
Local farmers told police it was possible that the animal went wild because of the extreme heat.
