Magalong running for Baguio mayor

A breath of fresh air. This is how retired police general Benjamin Magalong described his decision to join the political fray as he filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) as mayor of the Summer Capital of the Philippines — Baguio City.

Magalong will run as an independent candidate, against five other mayoralty bets mostly veterans of local politics.

“Desired change is what I seek and will strive to the utmost. Decisive judgment from everyone will make this possible,” said Magalong of his entering the political arena.
