Comedienne Lynn Ruth Miller to hold Manila shows


Lynn Ruth Miller, dubbed as one of the oldest female comedians at 85, will hold shows in Manila.

“Aged to Imperfection” is on Oct. 18 at Relik Bar, Bonifacio Global City and “Barely Standing” on Oct. 19 at Union Jack Tavern, Makati. Both shows will start at 8 p.m. and it will be hosted by Aldo Cuervo with opening act by Ruther Urquia.

She started performing comedy and cabaret at age 70 and is now an established international circuit comedian, according to her website. She performs regularly at London clubs, festival and international comedy venues.
Miller appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent” and “America’s Got Talent” and won the TO&ST (Time Out and Soho Theatre) award in 2014 for best cabaret show.

She bagged the Leicester Comedy Festival Liberty Award in 2015 and became a finalist at Old Comedian of the Year at London’s Leicester Square Theatre.

Miller was born in Ohio and at 27, she starred in her own TV show “The Little Playhouse.” She started writing a regular column for the Pacifica Tribune that eventually became a book in 1991.
