Netizen James Mollo captured a video of the burning car on his cellphone from inside a moving vehicle around 7 p.m. and posted it on his Facebook account.

Responding to queries from The Manila Bulletin, Mollo said he took the video while driving with his wife along the west-bound lane of U.N. Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard.

Security guards and people at the scene also recorded the incident on their phones, he said.

The burning car, located in front of a  bank right beside the Manila Doctors Hospital near Taft Avenue, was reported to the Manila Fire Station as 6:57 p.m.

Senior Fire Officer 3 (SFO3) Terrence Benito of the Paco Fire Sub-Station said Manila Fire Engine No. 4 from Intramuros was the first to respond at the scene at 7:03.

The fire was put out shortly, said Benito.

An investigation on how the fire started was underway.
