During the simple launch rites last Friday, Dr. Ma. Paz Espiritu, director of HNU’s Center for Research and Publications said Lumina was first published in 1993.

She said the journal’s publication was suspended in 2014 .

She added that when students and professors conduct research studies, it is not enough to complete the task, but to also present the paper in conferences or through publications.

Espiritu added that the editorial board of the research journal is composed on experts from here and overseas.

Espiritu said Lumina will be inter-disciplinary.

The journal’s editorial board will accept research papers from different institutions.

She added that the editorial board will keep an eye on the quality of the research and its relevance.

HNU’s research armm is also behind the annual Bohol Poll, a perception survey among Boholano voters.

The aim of the survey is to unravel the perception of Boholanos about key issues and personalities both local and national.

The Bohol Poll next year will include the perception of Boholano voters on the candidates running in the 2019 elections, Espiritu said.
