BATANGAS CITY, Batangas — The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP or Provincial Board) has approved an ordinance granting tax relief to delinquent taxpayers with real properties in the province.
Fourth District Board Member JP Gozos, who proposed the ordinance, said all interest and penalties imposed on the properties are waived once the taxpayer settles their unpaid real property taxes.
However, Gozos has reminded property owners they could only settle until December, this year.
This would be a relief to delinquent taxpayers and likewise increased collection for the provincial government.
