“It is still too early to talk about the elections but definitely, I will not run for mayor,” Advincula said.
It was the first media pronouncement of the 48-year-old Advincula , a long-time political leader in Cavite.
Advincula, a PDP-Laban stalwart, is running under the One Team Imus, a local political group, along with incumbent Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi, Vice Mayor Arnel M. Cantimbuhan and 12 councilors.
One Team Imus is a brainchild of Advincula.
Advincula is hailed for his performance, humility, concern for the needy, being a go-getter and peace broker.
He once worked as a garbage collector, janitor of a fluorescent and bulb manufacturing firm, and driver of a gravel and sand truck operated by his father.
He has since become a successful businessman and prominent lawmaker.
