The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) urged beneficiaries of the government’s Pantawid Pasada Program in Metro Manila to claim their fuel cards before the distribution ends this month.

On Tuesday, September 25, the LTFRB will hold another caravan of the Pantawid Pasada Program at Buena Park in Caloocan City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The distribution of the fuel voucher cards to legitimate public utility jeepney (PUJ) operators and drivers will also continue at the Land Transportation Office-Main

Office on East Avenue in Quezon City from this Wednesday to Friday.

Earlier, LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra said that there were a total of 179,852 recipients of the government’s fuel subsidy program listed at its Central Office and Regional Offices nationwide.

As of yesterday, the LTFRB already released a total of 30,000 cash cards to beneficiaries in Metro Manila since it started the distribution last July.

The agency had said that it is targeting the distribution of all the cash cards to qualified recipients by the end of this month.

In claiming the fuel cards, beneficiaries should present an original and photocopy of their government-issued ID, one ID picture, and proof of franchise of the operator such as Certificate of Public Convenience, or franchise verification.

The official list of beneficiaries of the fuel subsidy program can be viewed on the LTFRB website.

Beneficiaries will be given a card containing P5,000 subsidy from July to December to help them cope with increasing pump prices brought by the tax reform law.

The Pantawid Pasada Fuel Cards, which were processed by the Land Bank of the Philippines, will indicate the complete name of the franchise holder, plate number of PUJ, region where the franchise was registered, and the card number to avoid misuse.

The Board warned the recipients that any violation in the use of the card such as purchasing of other products aside from fuel using the card will automatically disqualify the card owner from the Pantawid Pasada Fuel Program and its benefits.
