Rural doctors will soon be able to reach patients through the internet, particularly through the project “Roll-out of 1,000 Telehealth Devices in Selected Rural Health Centers in the Philippines.”
Training was initially held at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) where doctors assigned in rural health centers were trained on the use of the telemedicine system, through the RxBox, a telehealth device that can capture medical signals through built-in medical sensors, store data in electronic medical records, and transmit health information to clinical specialists through the internet.
