23 vie for Misters of Filipinas 2018

A policeman, a college professor, fitness enthusiasts, models and students are among this year's hopefuls at the 6th Misters of Filipinas pageant.

During press presentation held at the plazas of Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, the 23 official candidates were formally introduced as prepageant activities for the male contest kicked off. The grand finals will be held at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan on Oct. 3.

Among this year's candidates are PO1 Willy Quinto, a police officer who also wants to become a lawyer; Erik dela Serna, a college professor who teaches psychology; Elcid Magne Camacho, an actor-model; Arnel Colis, another model; and Errol Morgan, personal trainer from Australia.

Other contestants are: John Chris Gamez, Ruben Anthony Timbol, David Manimtim, Arnel Acorda Jr., Aldrin Palma, Nico Bundang, John Allen Villejo, Federico Palejon, Jerry Treyes, Mark Kevin Baloaloa, Casius Panopio, John Paul Ocat, Jorge Domen Jr., Jake Camarines, Jasper Neill Ong, Jego Nacnac, Judah Nathaniel Tiosejo and Jose Perfecto Rosete.

Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation Inc. president Carlo Morris Galang commented on the resignation of Ion Perez as Mister Universe Tourism 2018.

"PEPPS has nothing to do with his resignation nor do we want to comment from any of the allegations that have been posted," says Galang.

He adds: "Bit as his national organization, of course, we support his decision and we will always stand by him. Even if his decision is solely between him and the international organization."

The 23 candidates of the contest will fly to Davao which will host the prepageant competitions before flying back to Manila for the finals.

The Misters of Filipinas contest has already produced international winners Neil Perez (Mister International 2014), Karan Singhdole (Man of the Year 2016) and Ion Perez.
