‘Oplan Saklolo’ in MIMAROPA

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Chief Superintendent Tomas C. Apolinario, the new regional director (RD) in MIMAROPA (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan), commended all his officers and personnel for the successful implementation of “Oplan Saklolo” which resulted in a zero casualty throughout the onslaught of typhoon “Ompong.”

Apolinario said 137 police search and rescue personnel were deployed in the provinces with 1,087 more on standby.

He reported that flooding was experienced in Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro. Passengers were also stranded in Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Marinduque. (Jerry J. Alcayde)
