The eight suspects were arrested in buy-bust and search operations in Barangay Francisco in Dasmariñas District, Barangays Biga I and Poblacion in Silang, Barangay Ibayo Silangan in Naic and Barangay Talon I in Amadeo.

Four suspects were arrested in Dasmarinas, two in Silang and one each in Naic and Amadeo.

The arrests were an offshoot of an order by Cavite provincial police chief Senior Superintendent William M. Segun to all town and city chiefs of police to get rid of the illegal drugs menace in their respective areas.

Cavite’s upland and lowland districts comprise seven cities and 16 municipalities.

Segun ordered all the chiefs of police to enforce the anti-illegal drugs drive without letup.

The Cavite police has the most number of anti-illegal drugs operations and arrests in Region IV-A in the last eight months and in previous years, records from the Police Regional Office IV-A revealed.

Region IV-A, made up of the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, is the country’s most densely populated area.
