(LOOK) Flooded areas in Metro Manila due to 'Ompong'

Some areas in Metro Manila were flooded Saturday morning due to heavy rains caused by typhoon "Ompong".

As of 7:00 am, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported flooding in the following areas:

  • Andrews Ave Circulo Del Mundo EB/WB - half tire deep (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Araneta Victory - half tire deep (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Roxas Quirino to UN Ave, NB/SB - half tire deep (not passable to light vehicles)
In its latest weatehr bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said "Ompong" has slightly weakened as it movess towards Ilocos Norte.
