Kagawad John Torrijos Versoza, known in the neighborhood as “John-John,” 20, a resident of 042 Talaba II Road; Andry Herrera Odeña, 22, a construction worker, of Zapote I, Bacoor; and one “Lian,” the minor, were nabbed by Chief Inspector Ruben Ballera Jr., chief of the Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit, and his team agents in the operation at 7:30 a.m.

Superintendent Vicente S. Cabatingan, Bacoor police chief, said 13 sachets of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride weighing 78.75 grams and worth P535,500 were seized from the suspects.

Also recovered were 12 marked P1,000 bills that the poseur-buyer used during the drug selling transaction.

Cabatingan ordered the surveillance and operation against the suspects after a tip-off from a concerned resident.

The suspects were taken to the Bacoor City Police Station for questioning and documentation, while the seized substances were being examined at the Police Provincial Crime Laboratory in Imus City.
