Church-run Radio Veritas is inviting the public to visit and pray before the images of popular saints of the Catholic Church which will be enthroned at the Our Lady of Veritas Chapel in Quezon City.
Rev. Father Anton CT Pascaual-President Radio Veritas/Exec. Director Caritas Manila (Manila Bulletin)
Radio Veritas president and Caritas Manila executive director Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual encourages the faithful to visit the Veritas Chapel to deepen their faith as the Church prepares for the anniversary of the 500th year of Christianity in the country in 2021.
“Venerated images of saints from various parts of our country are currently enthroned here in Our Lady of Veritas Chapel. We are doing these programs as part of our main goal to make the public aware about the plans of the Catholic Church as we prepare to celebrate the 500th year of Christianity in our country,” Pascual said.
“Let us take this opportunity to pray not only for our personal intentions but also for our brothers and sisters in need to seek for God’s mercy, our leaders to remain faithful while serving our country, and our clerics and consecrated persons to continue their devotion to the Almighty Father,” Pascual added.
The faithful may pray before the venerated images at the Veritas Chapel from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. that include: Nuestra Señora del Mar Cautiva (September 3 – 28), Our Lady of Peñafrancia (September 6 – 16), St. Joseph Cupertino (September 10– 18), and St. Therese of the Child Jesus (September 22 – October 1).
Today, September 13, the faithful may profess their pledge of devotion to St. Padre Pio, whose heart relic, incidentally, will be in the country from Oct. 6 to 26. The faithful may also send their prayer requests, petitions, thanksgiving prayers, and other intentions for the Healing Mass to be presided by Rev. Fr. Soy Hernando on September 17 at 12 noon.
Devotees will receive a pillow of St. Padre Pio and a pledge of devotion certificate.
