Black Nazarene in Binangonan

BINANGONAN, RIZAL- Devotees of the Black Nazarene here welcomed the image of the cross-bearing Christ for the first time starting Wednesday.

The devotee in crimson and yellow fetched the image from Quiapo Church at 3 a.m. Wednesday and led a motorcade towards this town before reaching the San Francisco Ng Assisi Parish Church (SFNAP) in Barangay Macamot.

A morning mass at 9 a.m. was preceded by the traditional ‘pahalik’ or kissing on the foot of the image popularly known as Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.

The pilgrim image of the Black Nazarene will be visiting the villages of Tatala, Mambog, and Batingan starting Thursday morning to fulfill the scheduled 4-day visit in this town.

On September 15, Saturday, a farewell mass at 6 a.m. at the SFNAP Church ends the first visit of the pilgrim image of the Black Nazarene in this part of the town.
