K-pop boy band Big Bang will be getting the Diamond Creator Award from YouTube for reaching 10 million subscribers on their channel.
Big Bang reached the milestone on Sept. 10 when their subscribers on their official YouTube channel hit 10.6 million.
YouTube gives creators awards based on the number of subscribers. The Silver Creator Award is given when subscribers reach 100,000 while the Gold Creator Award is bestowed for 1 million subscribers and the Diamond for 10 million.
According to the award page on YouTube, “Creator Awards are given at YouTube’s discretion. We only recognize creators who follow our guidelines, and each channel is reviewed before an award can be issued.”
Big Bang, according to the YG Life blog, has 14 music videos with at least 100 million views each including “Fantastic Baby” and “Bang Bang Bang.”
Recently, G-Dragon’s “Who You?” music video, released in September 2013, reached 100 million views. G-Dragon and Taeyang’s “Good Boy” music video recently reached 200 million views.
Big Bang’s T.O.P, G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung are currently fulfilling their military service and Seungri is promoting his album.
