“I just have so much work right now but I’m not closing my door on romance,” she explained in Filipino. “I’m prepared to enter into a new relationship but I feel, like, it’s gonna come when it’s gonna come. I don’t wanna force things.”

She has admirers but she feels they can’t get into the groove of her “crazy schedules.”

How does she feel now that Robi has declared himself to be dating again?

“I’m happy for him. Seeing him happy – that’s all we want for each other, at the end of the day.”

She opened up about her “heartbroken” tweet that made headlines last month. She wrote then, “Heartbroken and Humbled” which some netizens thought was about her past. One even commented “Move on” to which Gretchen quickly answered, “Not everything is about him, my dear. And who says I’m not happy?”

During the interview, she said, “I was shocked when I posted that tweet and they linked it to him. I just had to reply to end it (the speculations).”

It turns out her tweet was about her recent experience in London. Gretchen shared that her bag got stolen, along with her phone, passport, money, important documents inside.

In hosting a morning show, Gretchen wakes up at 3 a.m. and does her own makeup. Often, she would do it inside her car.

“So, if you use the right product, it takes off a big load from your worries,” she pointed out.

Like many people, she hates getting pimples.

“Especially with our job as we have to look our best 24/7. We have to be on our toes all the time. When we get pimples, it takes a little from our confidence,” she shared.

She pitches for Celeteque DermoCosmetic, a product equally concerned with skin care and beautification.

Gretchen said that more than ever, women are not just into looks. The athlete-turned-celebrity cited beauty pageants as example.

“They now look at the substance of women like what they stand for, what they believe in. I think that’s good.”
