Faith-based film to go on tour

THE CAST of new faith-based, inspirational and family-friendly film “Kaibigan” starring Stephen Baldwin and the Perkins Twins are scheduled to go on a nationwide tour this month before it opens in theaters October.

“Kaibigan” is the story of a troubled Filipino high school student who surrounds himself with friends of bad character, creating problems for a popular Filipino student until they both discover the true meaning of friendship.

Also in the cast are Boots Anson Roa, Cesar Montano, Tirso Cruz III, Alvin Anson, Lani Mercado, Emmanuelle Vera, Archie Adamos, Mariam Al Alawi, Victor Basa, Mocha Uson and Judah Paolo. Directors are Cesar Montano and Daniel Tan.

Lending a hand by supporting the promotional campaign are Happee Toothpaste, Adventure Kings and JC Perkins Twins.

About the two

The Perkins twins have been traveling around the Philippines for the past two years with the Department of Education. They have performed in over 500 schools, singing to give their message against drugs, alcohol and bullying. They performed weekly in over 45 malls and worked with government agencies.

“Kaibigan” features their own compositions, singing in harmony and choreographing their own dance moves. The soundtrack of the movie was done in collaboration with Vehnee Saturno.
