Police arrest son of former provincial board member

Police have arrested a 40-year-old son of a former provincial board member of Romblon in a raid in his house that led to the confiscation of almost a kilo of marijuana.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, spokesperson of the Mimaropa (Mindoro Oriental and Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) regional police, said the street value of the confiscated 800-gram dried marijuana leaves is P400,000.

The operation that led to the arrest of Bryan Neil Lim stemmed from intelligence report of his alleged involvement in stockpiling dried marijuana leaves in his house in Barangay 3, Poblacion, Romblon town.

Seized during the operation that occurred on Thursday were dried marijuana leaves hidden in various makeshift containers.

During the background check, Lim was found to be a tax-mapping aide of the Provincial Assessors Office of Romblon.
